IAS Educational Fund Meeting – Brazil

The International AIDS Society (IAS) is proud to announce that the IAS Educational Fund meeting – Science and community in the response to HIV in Latin America and the Caribbean – was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 5 April 2017.

The meeting brought together 46 HIV scientists and community representatives from across Latin America and the Caribbean, and was conducted in English, Spanish and Portuguese with simultaneous translation in all three languages.

Key themes discussed included the trends, challenges and strategies for HIV prevention and treatment as well as co-infections, particularly with viral hepatitis and Zika, community participation, and the response to HIV in complex environments and for specific key populations.

In addition to the meeting’s material available below and to make content from IAS Conferences more accessible to Spanish and Portuguese speakers, the IAS Educational Fund is happy to provide several sessions from AIDS 2016 in Spanish and Portuguese.
