The rapid pace of scientific discovery in care for people living with HIV and AIDS requires clinicians and other HIV service providers to remain continually up to date on research developments and best practices. The IAS is proud to announce the continuation of the programme, to support clinicians and other HIV service providers from resource-limited settings to attend the 9th IAS Conference on HIV Science (IAS 2017).
IAS 2017 scholarship recipients
The programme was open to clinicians and other direct HIV service providers from resource-limited settings (physicians, nurses, community health workers, pharmacists, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers). Close to 900 applications were received.
Applications were evaluated against the applicant’s commitment and experience in the HIV field, and their demonstrated interest in sharing the knowledge and best practices learned at the conference.
A total of 192 clinicians and other HIV service providers from resource-limited settings were selected to receive support to attend IAS 2017.
We would like to extend special thanks to the members of the reviewing committee who volunteered their time to evaluate scholarship applications.
