IAS Educational Fund Meetings – Haiti

The International AIDS Society (IAS) is proud to announce that the IAS Educational Fund meeting under the theme, Retention in Care – PrEP – Tuberculosis, Science and Community in the HIV response in the Caribbean, organized in collaboration with les Centres GHESKIO was held on 28 and 29 November 2018 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

During this two-day meeting more than 80 professionals in the HIV response in the Caribbean region, including clinicians, researchers, policy makers and community representatives, gathered to discuss to discuss the latest science and question how that information impacts the epidemic in the region.

Key topics discussed included key messages from the 22nd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2018) in Amsterdam as well as retention in antiretroviral therapy (ART), implementation of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and HIV and tuberculosis and multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB/ MDR-TB).
