Types of membership and fees
Annual membership fee
The IAS has a differentiated fee structure for membership, including a multi-year discount. The membership year runs from the date of payment.
Standard
Any person involved in HIV research, care, prevention and control can become a member of the IAS.
Student
Student memberships are available to individuals of any age enrolled in full-time studies at a school, university, college or other tertiary institution.
Youth
Youth memberships are available to individuals up to the age of 26 (date of birth and passport/ID number are required).
Patron
Patron members have the same rights and benefits as full members, students and youth, but voluntarily pay a higher annual membership fee.
