Julieta Firmat

Title: Associate Officer, HIV Programmes & Advocacy

IAS – the International AIDS Society

Julieta was born in the US and has lived in Chile, France, India, the Netherlands and now Switzerland. She has experience in human rights, advocacy and communications.

Julieta joined the IAS in February 2022 as a Graduate Assistant assisting in the logistics of AIDS 2022, the 24th International AIDS Conference. She now supports the management and implementation of a portfolio of HIV-related programmes, in particular the IAS Corporate Partnership Programme, Towards an HIV Cure initiative and Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise.

She holds a Master’s in Human Rights and Conflict Studies from Utrecht University, the Netherlands.
