Carole Beilleau

Title: Director, Development and Partnerships


With more than 20 years of experience in the humanitarian, development and security sectors, Carole joined the IAS in June 2021.

Before joining the IAS, Carole worked as a Trust Fund Manager and Fundraising Coordinator for the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF). From 2015 to 2019, Carole worked for the newly created Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) as Senior Resource Mobilisation Officer. 

Between 1999 and 2008, Carole implemented humanitarian and development projects in Albania, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, Iraq, Myanmar and Uganda. In 2008, Carole joined Doctors without Borders (MSF) Swiss Headquarters in Geneva and set up the unit in charge of institutional fundraising, raising more than USD 30 million per year.

She holds a Master’s in Development Studies from the University René Descartes (Paris V).
