Emmanuel Flamand

Title: Director, Finance and Operations

Emmanuel joined the IAS in 2019 from Doctors without Borders (MSF) Switzerland, where he was Director of Finance. He has over 20 years’ experience as a humanitarian with postings in Liberia, Rwanda and Afghanistan, to name just a few. Emmanuel eventually assumed the position of Head of the Field Finance Department for MSF Switzerland.

Emmanuel has also worked in finance for shorter periods with Patagonia, Wildlife Conservation Society and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance.

Emmanuel holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University, New York City.
