What inspires you to work in the HIV field?

My main motivation to participate – as a Vaccine Enterprise mentee – is to exchange innovative ideas on working on HIV drug resistance strategies. The programme also provides immense knowledge sharing by HIV experts, including health workers, social and community workers, researchers and policy makers, toward an HIV cure. Participation in this programme will help me meet with expert mentors so I can carry out my research in a better way. It also provides me with an opportunity to interact with global scientists and discuss issues related to HIV drug resistance.

What are your goals as an IAS change maker?

My goals are to transfer, share and exchange my HIV care and treatment experiences and contribute to developments with new ideas in the area of HIV drug resistance. Moreover, I want to establish relationships with global research scientists and policy makers in all matters concerning HIV drug resistance.
