What inspires you to work in the HIV field?
I'm inspired to work in the HIV field by the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals affected by this disease. The chance to provide support, care and resources to those facing stigma and marginalization motivates me daily. Additionally, the dynamic nature of public health challenges presented by HIV drives my passion for finding innovative solutions and advocating for comprehensive approaches to prevention, treatment and care. Being part of a global community committed to ending the HIV pandemic through collaboration, research and advocacy further fuels my dedication to this vital cause.
What are your goals as an IAS change maker?
As an IAS change maker, my goal is to drive impactful change in the response to HIV and AIDS by advocating for equitable access to prevention, treatment and care services. I aim to foster innovation in HIV response efforts, empowering communities affected by HIV to play an active role in decision-making processes. Collaboration is central to my approach as I seek to bring together diverse stakeholders to maximize our collective impact. Ultimately, I aspire to contribute to a world where everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to live a healthy, dignified life free from the burden of HIV and AIDS.
