What inspires you to work in the HIV field?

Living with HIV myself, I have experienced firsthand the challenges, stigma, relationship problems and uncertainty it can bring. That personal journey drives me to ensure that others, especially young people, can access treatment, support and hope without facing the same barriers.

What are your goals as an IAS change maker?

My goal as an IAS change maker is to drive meaningful youth-led advocacy, strengthen health systems, and ensure that innovations in HIV prevention and treatment reach those who need them most quickly, equitably and with dignity.

The IAS promotes the use of non-stigmatizing, people-first language. The translations are all automated in the interest of making our content as widely accessible as possible. Regretfully, they may not always adhere to the people-first language of the original version.
