Natalia Laufer is a clinician and researcher specializing in the study of the HIV reservoir in special populations (elite controllers, young adults with perinatal acquisition of HIV and breastfeeding people) and HIV-HCV co-infection.
Her academic journey began at Favaloro University, where she earned her medical degree (1994-1999). She did a four-year residency in infectious diseases at Juan A. Fernández Hospital (1999-2004), followed by a year as Chief Resident (2004-2005). In 2010, she earned her PhD from the University of Buenos Aires and then obtained a postgraduate diploma in infectious diseases from the University of Buenos Aires and in clinical trials from the University of London.
