Educational Fund Thematic Working Group

The Educational Fund Thematic Working Group provides guidance on procedures and activities of the IAS Educational Fund in relation to the IAS Organizational Strategy (2021-2025). The IAS strategy focuses on three impact areas: promoting science, supporting action and empowering people. The group is made up of experts from the IAS Governing Council, who contribute a mix of backgrounds (clinical, social science and advocacy) and represent or have work experience in diverse regions. Thanks to its wide-ranging thematic and geographical expertise, the Educational Fund Thematic Working Group provides pertinent recommendations on specific educational needs and audiences that should be targeted through Educational Fund activities, particularly to address needs in low- and middle-income countries. A new steering group was appointed in October 2024 following the Governing Council elections.
