Anna Turkova is a research clinician at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL and a consultant paediatrician at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. Anna is a leading co-investigator in several large HIV global studies exploring new treatments for children (for example, ODYSSEY, UNIVERSAL). She is Chief Investigator of the D3 trial, assessing if children living with HIV can take two anti-HIV medicines instead of three. She is an active member of the Penta Infectious Diseases Network and Penta training faculty, working closely with colleagues in eastern and western Europe, central Asia and Africa. Anna is an author of the EACS/Penta Guidelines for Treatment of Paediatric HIV. She is a co-chair of the WHO-led Paediatric Antiretroviral Working Group (PAWG) and a member of the Paediatric Antiretroviral Drug Optimization (PADO) group and the Global Accelerator for Paediatric Formulations Network (GAP-f).
