
Ya-Chi Ho is an Associate Professor of Microbial Pathogenesis and Medicine at Yale University. She is the Director of Graduate Studies for the Yale Microbiology PhD Program and an elected member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation. She received her MD (phi tau phi) and clinical training in Taiwan as a board-certified infectious diseases physician and PhD (phi beta kappa) and postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As a physician-scientist, she combines cutting-edge single-cell multi-omics, molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics and translational approaches to study mechanisms of HIV persistence and HIV-induced immune dysfunction. Her work informs measurement of the HIV reservoir and development of HIV cure strategies.
