Positive Lounge

pattern

The Positive Lounge is a dedicated space within the conference venue for delegates living with and affected by HIV from across the globe.

This is where people can recharge, refresh and relax in a welcoming and nurturing environment.

The Positive Lounge is designed to facilitate and support dialogue and discussion for people living with HIV. The aim is to reflect the needs and desires of a diverse group of delegates, providing a balance between quiet relaxation and daily activities informed by people living with HIV.

The Positive Lounge, located in the Sky Room and with a large outdoor terraced area, provides spectacular city views of Brisbane’s skyline. Positive Lounge guests will be able to rest from the business of the conference and register for a relaxing massage, utilize opportunities to connect and network in a welcoming environment while charging their phone or PC, or enjoy a healthy light refreshment and snack to replenish their energy levels.

Come say “G’day” to the IAS 2023 Positive Lounge volunteers. They are equipped with active listening skills and will be able to assist with booking a short relaxing massage or creatively challenging you to contribute to the IAS 2023 Collaborative Collage artwork in progress throughout the conference.

The Sky Foyer will offer all conference delegates a visual poster exhibition, titled “You and U=U”, with a selection of global U=U messaging posters conveying how various communities convey HIV science messaging.
