
Yazdan Yazdanpanah is Director of the ANRS Emerging Infectious Diseases Agency, Head of the Infectious Diseases department at Bichat–Claude Bernard Hospital and Professor of Medicine at Paris Diderot University. Yazdan qualified as an MD at the Lille School of Medicine in 1996, a hepato-gastro-enterologist in 1996 and an infectious disease specialist in 2002. He holds an MSC in epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health and a PhD in public health from the Bordeaux School of Public Health. Research interests include the clinical epidemiology of HIV, viral hepatitis and emerging infectious diseases and the pharmaco-economics of antimicrobial agents. In 2017, he became Director of the French Aviesan Institute of Immunology, Inflammation, Infectiology, and Microbiology and Chair of the Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness International Network. In 2019, he became Chair of the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership board. Yazdan has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
